The Montreal Canadiens are officially known as le Club de Hockey Canadien as well as colloquially as the Habs. They are a Montreal-based member of the National Hockey League in which they compete in the Eastern Conference as a member of the Atlantic Division. The Canadiens have the honor of having won the Stanley Cup Championship more times than any other NHL team, with twenty four championships under their belt. This includes twenty three victories since the founding of the NHL and twenty two since 1927, when NHL teams were declared the only ones eligible to compete for the Stanley Cup. The Canadiens even had the most championship titles won by a team of any of the four North American sports until 1999.

Some of the most notable players for the Canadiens have been Steve Shutt, Guy Lafleur, Pierre Larouche, Jacques Lemaire, Ken Dryden, Serge Savard, Larry Robinson, Guy Lapoint, Pete Mahovlich, Bob Gainey, and Yvan Cournoyer.

The other team in this game who are the underdogs, the Calgary Flames, has odds of +130. That means for every $1 risked, you could win $1.30, to bet $100 to win $130.
